Doctors and Staff

Dr. WorrellBurton Worrell, OD

Dr. Worrell is a graduate with honors from University of California at Berkeley with Masters and Doctorate degrees in Optometry.  He received a special residency at UC Berkeley in Low Vision.  He is a fellow in the American Academy of Optometry, an academic research group accepting individuals with only the highest ethical standards.  He also is credentialed as a faculty member at UC Berkeley where he has served as a clinical professor for seven years, teaching the treatment of visual problems related to children's learning disabilities.

Dr. Worrell focuses on prevention, low vision rehabilitation, and multi-focal contact lenses.  He is also a member and has taught at International Sports Vision Conferences.

 

Dr. ShinJames Shin, OD

Dr. Shin completed graduate studies and received his Doctor of Optometry degree at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, and has received honors for his services in primary eye care, as well as contact lens and low vision clinics.  His experience includes treating patients at the Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago, Lighthouse for the Blind, Monrose Veterans Affairs Hospital in New York, and the Providence Veterans Affairs Hospital in Rhode Island.

Dr. Shin's special interests include orthokeratology, contact lenses, vision therapy for children, LASIK co-management, and primary eye care.  Dr. Shin is active in charity programs where he provides vision screenings, and is a member of the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Shin is entrusted with the care of Dr. Oh's former patients.

 

Dr. LimtiacoLisa Limtiaco, OD

Dr. Limtiaco received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Washington University in Missouri, and graduated with honors from the University of California School of Optometry at Berkeley with a Doctor of Optometry degree, where she received a Dean’s thesis award for research with aspheric rigid gas permeable contact lenses.  While a student, she helped launch the optometric division of the Suitcase Clinic, which assisted low income families and the homeless.  Her experience includes specialty contact lenses, as well as low vision and vision rehabilitation.

Dr. Limtiaco's areas of interest are orthokeratology for myopia reduction, LASIK co-management, and computer vision syndrome, in which she has helped many patients to achieve comfortable vision in their work environments.  She is a member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, and the Santa Clara County Optometric Society.  She is active in community work and coordinates projects and leadership programs for youth.

 

Front Desk (Administrative) Staff

Our skilled and knowledgeable Administrative staff, led by Cindy, is dedicated to making sure your experience with our office is a positive one from start to finish.  From answering phones and making appointments, to billing insurances and keeping our files in order, our administrative staff is what keeps everything in our office running smoothly.

Cindy has been with us for ten years, and has mastered the intricacies of working with the various insurance companies to ensure you get the best care.  Cinthia and Norma joined us more than a year ago, and between the three of them, they do a fantastic job of keeping the rest of us on-task and on-time, and ensuring you get the best possible customer service.

 

Clinical Staff

Our clinical staff, led by Ana, is charged with the task of performing tests for the doctors, as well as a variety of tasks in our on-site laboratory.  This includes ordering glasses and contacts, making glasses, polishing RGP contacts, and performing quality assurance on everything that comes into our lab.

Ana, who is also taking courses and working toward becoming an optometrist herself, keeps everything in our lab and optical department running smoothly.  All of our clinical staff are dedicated to making sure you get the most accurate test results, highest quality eyewear and contacts, and the best possible care.
